Has anyone used To-Europe for Rail Tours?
I want to make sure they are a legitimate company before I fully book.
Try the maninseat61 website and that will help you book your own train tickets without giving a huge cut to a third party.
Are you staying in Germany only or traveling outside? I agree with the rec for The Man in Seat 61. Here is a link for his site that talks about German trains - https://www.seat61.com/train-travel-in-germany.htm - but you can also explore it for more places in Europe as well.
In terms of booking tickets, you can't go wrong with https://www.bahn.de/en, which is the official website for the German train system. If you want to give us some idea of where you are going and where from, we would be more than happy to help you find which trains you need.
Never heard of them, but that doesn't necessarily impugn their reputation. I am slightly familiar with Untours, which also puts together independent rail + accommmodations packages. They typically include a German Rail Pass with their packages rather than the individual tickets I'm seeing at the T0-Europe site. And typically, you stay in one apartment for a week or longer.
My first impression is that their itineraries are overly rushed... the 7-day Heidelberg + Bavaria trip, for example. Not clear to me why they'd have you checking in and out of 3 different places in the first 3 days when those places, Würzburg, Nuremberg, and Rothenburg, are so close to one another.
BTW... those train tickets listed in that same itinerary for Day 2 and Day 3 cost very little if you're buying them on your own... like €22/day/2 persons.
So I'm probably with mardee here... where/when do you want to go? Maybe just some tips from the forum are all you actually need.
