Timber Rafting in Black Forest

I'm taking a trip to Germany this summer and will be spending some time in Schiltach, Germany in the Black Forest region. In my research I've seen lots of pictures and videos of timber rafting festivals where people dress in traditional clothes and ride long timber rafts through this town (and others). It looks amazing and if it were happening in the time I'm in Germany I would love to structure my trip so I'm in that area while it's happening. I can't for the life of me find a place that will tell me when this Timber Rafting Festival happens. The river that runs through the town that they travel on is the Kinzig. Anyone know anything about this???

The German Wikipedia article for the town of Wolfach, which is on the Kinzig, mentions a Floßhafenfest held every other year in the summer, but there's no further information. There's a picture of part of the event from 2004, so assuming every two years, the next one would be in 2018. I don't know if this is the specific event to which you refer.

Try searching for Floßfarht or Floßfahrten in the area. Looks like the Gernsbach Altstadtfest Floßfahrt is the 3rd weekend in September.

In Munich it not uncommon for a Floßfarten to be used as a "team building" event. Everyone takes the day off from the office to drink snd ride on a raft for seven hours. So even if there isn't a festival in the Black Forest maybe you can find a similar service in the area.
