Tickets for Neuschwanstein for mid-October

I will be making a one week trip to Munich in mid-October. I'd love to do an overnight visit to Neuschwanstein.

I checked the Rick Steves' recommended website -- www.hohenschwangau.de -- for buying tickets in advance, but it shows that tickets are completely sold out for the week I'll be there.

My question:

1) Does that mean that its ACTUALLY completely sold out? Do they set some aside for walk-ups, etc.?

2) Would tickets be available through, say, a tour guide or company that regularly purchases tickets in advance?

Yes, there are usually tickets available as part of tours, at a higher price of course. However (per the castle website) there are a limited number of same day tickets at the Hohenschwangau ticket center - first come basis. Ticket office opens at 8 am until Oct 15, then 8:30 from Oct 16. I'd advise that you get there shortly before it opens.
