Hello all-
We are going to visit some friends that actually live in Breidenbach from July 29th-Aug 2nd. These are relatively new friends and we have not been to this area before. Just wondering what there is to see or do in this area as possible days trips just in case they ask us. We will have a car. They are two adults with two children ages 5 and 7. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks.

Marburg is part of German Fairytale route. Winterberg and Skywalk Willingen are not far away and also parts of German half-timered houses street (link). Lahn-Dill nature park and therme are worth a view. You will also find a lot of castles, palaces and ruins around Marburg.
For rental car ensure your driving license is valid in Germany and you have an IDP. Children under 12 need special seats.
