During our stay in Fussen my wife and I intend to take a gondola/cable car ride. We realize that weather and visibility are all-important, but let's take that out of the equation.
The Tegelberg Gondola is less expensive, closer to our home base and offers a luge run for some added fun. The Zugspitze is iconic - but is it that much better than Tegelberg?

Yes. Between the 2 choices, the Tegelberg views and experience does not compare. If you have a car, head to Ehrwald, Austria, an easy 30 minute drive from Fuessen, to the Zugspitze trip there.
