I have got a Samsung ON5 phone with T-Mobile as the carrier.
Can I buy a german SIM card in Frankfurt at the airport to make this phone work in Germany or would it be easier and cheaper to call t-mobile and get an intentional plan?
I will be in Germany in May of this year.

What plan do you have? Your T Mobile Plan may already include service. I have the Simple Choice plan with T Mobile and it already includes free data, free texts, and 20 cent a minute phone calls. I've used it in Germany with no issues.
I second the above - ask TMobile if your plan includes Europe. I think most of them do. They might have to turn on the international part of it - I had to ask them years ago. I was in Germany last month with my phone. Stepped off the plane, got a text that said Welcome to Germany and the phone worked perfectly. Text and data are free. Calls are 20 cents per minute...they're free if you make them over wi-fi calling.
