Suggestions for teen and tween activities in Berlin

I am meeting a mom and her 2 daughters in Berlin on Saturday Oct 6 and we are spending the night. I’m looking for suggestions on what part of the city to stay in and activities that would be fun (and if they are open on Sunday). TIA

Fun note- I’ve been tutoring the older daughter for 5 years and this will be our first in person meeting! They were living in Ukraine and got support to move to germany when Russia invaded.

Do you know interests of the girls?

First idea: Maybe a fun place is The WOW! Gallery - offering many options for common fun and selfies. It is located in Friedrichshain close to East Side Gallery (ESG) which is a good start for a cultural walk along murals painted on former Berlin wall. If you start the walk at station Ostbahnhof along ESG you can have a first drink with a view at 260 Grad rooftop bar (opening 5 pm). After visiting WOW Gallery you can find several places for sitting, drinking and eating in close Kiez around Boxhagener Platz - or if Italian kitchen at Trattoria Portofino; for German kitchen in a young environment Jäger & Lustig is a good place: last two at Comeniusplatz.

Mauer Park in the Prenzlauer Berg district has a huge flea market on Sundays if the kids like that sort of thing. Last year, I enjoyed watching the karaoke at the Bear Pit near the flea market, which starts around 3pm. It's quite a scene - check it out on You Tube.

We've stayed twice at Meyers Hotel (once on an RS tour and once on our own) in Prenzlauer Berg. 1/2 block to the tram to AlexanderPlatz, so easy to get around and lots of restaurants nearby.
