Stuttgart Public Transit

Hi, looking for some advice on how to get a day pass in Stuttgart for the S Bahn and U Bahn, seems like there’s a way to do it in either the VSS app or SSB Move App but I’d rather have a physical paper ticket so I can use it today.
We’re staying at Hotel Motel One Stuttgart-Hauptbahnhof right by the central train station and want to go to the natural history museum which looks like Nordbanhof station for both S/U Bahn. Later today we’re going to Bad Cannstatter which we took the U11 train and back.
Any advice on how to get the day ticket at the station, which ticket box to get it from (yellow, green, or the DB ticket box) and which option to select so I can get a ticket for myself and my wife?

I think the best option is to probably just to to the ticket office, and talk to a person. They will be able to advise you, and sell you the right ticket.

Since you are at the main station, it will probably be easiest indeed to just go to the office there and ask - both the rail and in particular the VVS offices (below surface, just ask for directions) should be able to help you.
Numerous stops work for either destination on both UBahn and SBahn (I usually prefer UBahn, felt nicer to me).
Rosenstein is a nice spot for Ice Age fauna and Jurassic Sea Life in particular.

For fossils you want the Naturkundemuseum Museum am Löwentor, not the Rosenstein. It really helps when the city has two "Natural History" museums that are so close and yet so different. They're both good, but for fossils you want the Löwentor.

Thanks for the tips!
I went to the yellow SBB box, there was a pretty clear label at the top of the screen for one way, day, monthly. Added a day pass, and another for my wife, and printed them.
We took the U12 and got off at Nordbanhoff and walked a short distance to the fossil museum Lowentor.
Used the day pass the rest of the day, very easy.
** the yellow box was much easier to understand, the vss box was very difficult and the whole reason I posted in the first place.

Glad you got the help you need for your travels. To clarify for others who may read this, you can buy a day ticket on the SSB app for today. Our group was in Stuttgart earlier this week and we would all buy our day tickets or group day ticket if going together each morning at breakfast.
