Springfest in Munich - Worth it?

Hi,
Going to Munich for 3 days in early May as a part of a longer trip in the region.
The Munich spring festival is on at that time. I seriously doubt if I can finish more than one of those huge mugs of beer at the most & the wife doesn't drink at all
So wanted to ask which beer hall is best with regards to the atmosphere & food and if going to one would be worth the time for a non drinker.
Any tips regarding the same would be welcome.
Thanks

Yes

There are only two big tents. Festhalle Bayernland is the more traditional of the two and similar to what you would expect from the Spaten or Paulaner tent at Oktoberfest. Hippodrom is the more trendy tent. Food is similar at both. Yes they are worth visiting even for a non-drinker.

any tips

Fruehlingsfest is like a big county fair lots of booths and carnival ride so it’s more than just beer tents and drinking. One neat thing to check out is the classic car show that's on the south end of the fest grounds.

I am a non drinker and I have enjoyed both Oktoberfest and Fruhlingsfest. Fruhlingsfest may be much smaller, but the atmosphere in the tents is still fun. My adult sons and daughter came with my husband and I and they all had a great time, getting into the spirit by wearing Lederhosen and dirndls. There are a lot of carnival rides at Fruhlingsfest and my family reports that they are much more intense than rides we have in Sydney! You can always go and have a wander around, look inside the tents and decide if you want to stay and have a drink or some food.
