Solo Travel to Munich

Hello All,

I am traveling as a solo female to Munich in early October and I'm looking for recommendations on where to stay. Any suggestions??

I travel to Munich frequently as a solo female over 75 years of age and I always stay at the Eden Hotel Wolff on Arnulfstrasse, directly across the street from the main RR station and with tram stop in front of the hotel.
The hotel is quiet, comfortable rooms, conveniently located with an excellent English-speaking staff. The restaurant on the premises serves very good breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The bar is cozy and pleasant also.
You will find the staff very good if you want/need help in planning your sights to see in Munich.
Enjoy your trip.

Just so you know, the area south of the main train station is considered seedy by some people, so you may not be comfortable there as a solo female traveler. I never felt unsafe (but not traveling solo) and my room was quiet, but there are some adult entertainment establishments and clubs in that area so it gets busy at night. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriot Munich City Center on Schwanthalerstrasse for reference.

Any of the Motel One locations would be a good bet as well. There are four close to the city center and public transport:
- München-Sendlinger Tor
- München-Deutsches Museum
- München-City West
- München-City Ost

Clean and basic rooms, easy to book, decent breakfast.

I've stayed at the Eden Hotel Wolff before and probably won't stay there again for several reasons: 1) its geared more for business travelers than holiday makers (I stayed there on business) 2) the area near the main train station is not that nice (noisy, busy, plus the other nearby attractions mentioned) 3) The value vs price is not there as a Std Single Room (excl breakfast) is 107€/night compared with 69€/night at Motel One.
