Sleeping in Munich in May

Hi All:
For some reason, my questions are not posted.
We will be in Munich for 14 nights late May. Any suggestions on hotels, B&B. We are seniors and like comfort but not those with pools, etc. Thanks in Advance.

Late May 2025 is a ways off, you may not yet see some hotels posting their
occupancy, and prices will be high for now, so don't panic no matter what you
see.

Since you haven't provided any details on your interests per Pat's reply, I will
just say that Munich is not too much different than any major European city
with regard to range of hotel options. Prices may be a bit lower than cities
like London and Paris. For the most part, the best bargains are probably in
the hotels around the Bahnhof or away from the Old Town area. Public transport
is excellent so as long as you are near a S Bahn, U Bahn, or tram stop, you
should be fine for getting around.

We loved Hotel Torbrau. Lovely breakfast and breakfast room too!

You might want to choose a hotel with air conditioning. We stayed @June 9-12, 2006 when it was 95 degrees! It does happen.

Is being in the center important to you? If not, consider Hotel Gastoff Maisberger in Neufahrn. Right at S1 stop. Reasonably priced, friendly, good breakfast and restaurant.

In May I would stay up around the University, north of the art museums. School will be letting out and the weather should be excellent. Expect the gardens to be in full bloom. You should be able to find furnished places for two weeks fairly easily, but try to stay near one of the U or S bahn lines. This area is far enough from the city center to be quieter, and yet easy to get anywhere from. You might try Hotel-Pension Am Siegestor.

Another option would in the Schwabing area south of the river, but not too close to the Munich-Ost Bahnhof.
