SIAP / Munich Agenda

Honestly, I have not read very many posts about Munich on here. I hope I am not re-asking a similar recent question.

I am going 4-5 days early before the RS Munich, Salzburg, Vienna Tour. Although I already have some good ideas as to what to do and see, I would like to hear what others have experienced.

I am considering day trips to Nuremberg and Berchtesgaden with the Viator company. Rothenberg or Regensberg are other day trip options.....not taking 4 day trips.....just two.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You can easily take a train to those towns and then once you are there go on a tour. All of these towns have local tour companies operating there or tours offered by the TI.

Viatour is a re-seller of other companies tours. Every tour they sell, you can book yourself. In Bavaria you can use a Bayern ticket on regional trains, which is quite cheap.

Regensburg is a wonderful town to visit. Roman ruins, old Jewish quarter, lots of half-timbered houses, Thurn & Taxis palace and a beautiful cathedral.
