In mid-May, we plan to spend approx two hours on a Rhine cruise around the St. Goar area. Does KD or any other day cruise company sell point to point tickets? I see the 32 euro day pass on the KD web site, but was hoping to spend less. What might be the cost of a one-way ticket from Rudesheim to Boppard? Thanks. JP

Don't buy that €32 pass at the KDRHINE site (not the official site.) Your fare will be around €20 to St. Goar (€16 if you arrive by train in Bingen or Rüdesheim and show your train ticket at the KD kiosk) for the 1.5-hr. cruise. Boppard costs more and takes 2.3 hours. I would stick with just St. Goar if the cruise is your sole objective - go to Boppard only if you have other reasons for going there. You can visit Rheinfels Castle in St. Goar and perhaps visit Bacharach or Oberwesel after your cruise (by train) or by stepping off the cruise for a while when it stops in those towns on the way to St. Goar.
How does the cruise fit into your day / travel plans? Will you need a place to stow bags while you sightsee on land?
