Schloessernacht at Sansoucci in Potsdam

We're going to be in Berlin in August, and I just found out there's a big party in Potsdam over the weekend. It's called Schloessernacht at Sansoucci (see https://www.potsdamer-schloessernacht.de/en/). Here's my question. How crazy is the traffic and parking, etc. on Saturday night, typically? In other words, is it practical to drive from Berlin, park nearby, and go to the evening events? Or will I be stuck in traffic for hours with no place to park? Will the trains and buses also be jam packed? It looks like a big party but I have no idea of the scale relative to the local infrastructure and what to expect. Hotels in Potsdam have doubled their prices for the night so I'd rather avoid having to stay overnight there.

Thanks,
Bill

Don't bother driving a car, there is plenty of public transport between Berlin and Potsdam. Trains between central Berlin and Potsdam are very frequent, they might be more crowded than usual but I don't think this event will overstretch them.

Potsdam is so easy to get to from Berlin on the S-Bahn and Rutherford are buses to take you around. You don’t need a car.
