We are traveling by train from Salzburg to Nuremberg then to Rothenberg back to Nuremberg, as we are staying in Nuremberg as our home base and just visiting Rothenberg for the day, from Nuremberg to Munich stay, go to baughausen castle for a day trip then stay in Munich for one night the fly out of Munich airport. I know there are so many different train stations with various names can anyone tell me the exact name of each train station I should go to in each city? Any suggestions for a hotel nearby the airport but close enough to get to city center? Thanks
In towns with multiple train stations (eg, Salzburg, Nürnberg, and Munich), the main station is called the Hauptbahnhof or Hbf (Nürnberg Hbf, Salzburg Hbf, etc). In smaller towns, with only one station, it's just the Bahnhof or Bhf. To go to the castle you go to the Burghausen Bhf, via Mühldorf, then take a bus (line 1) to the Lugwigsberg stop, the castle entrance.
