Salzburg Hbf is considered a German station for ticketing purposes, so yes, it is included.
It is also valid with a Bayern Ticket for 25 EUR, or a Meridian Guten Tag Ticket for 23 EUR when you use the Meridian regional train after 9 am weekdays, anytime weekends and holidays. That is less than the cost of a GRP pass day.

If I’m traveling from Munich to Vienna, would I take advantage of my Germain Rail Pass by stopping at Salzburg, and then paying separately for the remaining ticket from Salzburg to Vienna?
