We are traveling from Vienna to Salzburg and then to Munich. I think I'd like to add in Fussen for an overnight to get the Bavarian Alps experience (or do you recommend just a day trip from Munich to see the Castles via Gray Line Tours). If I spend the night, what is the best way to get there and where do I position Fussen in the trip? When I Goggle Map (using transit, we will not be renting a car), from Munich to Fussen it is 2 hours via BRB RB 68. If I Google Map from Salzburg, it looks like it takes me through Munich to Fussen, (via BRB RE5 and BRB RB68) which will take about 4 hours and 30 minutes. Is this right? Is there a travel tool like Trenitalia (which I loved when traveling in Italy) that I can use for travel planning while in Austria and Germany? Your advice and feedback is greatly appreciated.

DB has a great search engine that works well for most of Europe, especially the DACH-countries, www.bahn.de
