This isn’t my first time to Rüdesheim. We actually lived in Germany in the 80s and have traveled there many time since. But haven’t taken a cruise since the 80s. This is a special trip for us next year being our 40th anniversary and taking our grown kids with their spouses staring in Frankfurt where we we’re stationed, met, and got married.
However I’ve been searching online and even YouTube for info on short term round trip Rhine cruises starting at Rüdesheim that is strictly a cruise no land or bus tour with it. And I can’t find one. Does anyone know of any that is only 1-2 hr round trip from Rüdesheim and approximately the cost?Thank you very much for your input.

It would be nicer if you got on the ship at Rüdesheim and took it to St. Goar and then took the train back. If you only go one hour down the Rhein it will take you 2 hours to get back because of the current.
It is easy to buy your ship ticket from the KD dock. Show your train ticket for 20% off and if you are a senior you get 30% off, students get 50% off.
You might want to see what Rüdesheim has to offer though.
