Rothenburg on der Tauber Train Station

We will be on Rothenburg for two nights at Hotel Gerberhaus in early December for the Xmas Markets traveling there by train from Nuremberg. Will we be able to easily Uber/Taxi to and from the train station or are the roads between those locations not easily accessible by car? We will have luggage with us and prefer to avoid a long bumpy walk if possible. Please any advice or experience with this would be appreciated.

You can look at the route on Google Maps. Street view shows that the street where your hotel is located is not pedestrian only.

We have been there during the Xmas markets. We used a taxi, I don't know if Uber exists there. If I'm going to be on my feet at the markets, I don't walk to use my energy walking into the old town.
The Xmas markets are very small here, basically just on the town square, so hotels can be accessed via the side roads. I love Rothenburg, but again, the markets are quite small, just so you know.
Have a great trip!

Use google maps. Plug in your hotel address. Click on directions. Click on the car symbol. It will show you if cars can get all the way to the hotel. You can even click on Street View and see the street. To do this, click on the circle with a diamond and a V under the diamond. Click on Street View and click on the blue line in front of your hotel.

If you want to guarantee that a car is available to drive you, your hotel can probably arrange a taxi for you.

There is typically one or two cabs at the station when the trains arrive. They will have no problem driving to Gerberhaus. Cabs can drive through pedestrian zones. It is not a long distance by car.

We stayed at Gerberhaus in 2015 and arrived by train. We had no trouble walking to the hotel from there with rolling luggage and backpacks.
