I will be in Rothenburg ob der Tauber in about a week and would love to attend a church service there on Sunday. Do you know of any church that has services? I'm not asking about a church that you can to into to see the interior, altar, stained glass, etc., but actually sit down and listen to the hymns sung and the Bible read or taught.

Look up churches before going over and check them out when you arrive to find out when the services are. The times will probably be on the exterior door or just inside it.

Just Google for "Rothenburg St. Jakob", thé main church in Rothenburg. They have a web site with all info you are looking for.

It's been awhile (mid-80's) but my Mom and I attended a church service in Rothenburg ob der Tauber one December Sunday. It was a beautiful service. I believe it was St. Jakob's church. And it was cold inside the church and we had worn skirts. Everyone else wore heavy winter coats and slacks. I know this wasn't part of your question, but if it's cool outside dress appropriately for your own comfort. Might not be cool, though, next week. My weather app predicts a high of 76* for September 9.
Have a great trip. I plan to be there the first week of October.
