We're boarding a cruise ship in Warnemünde in mid-September (on a Sunday), arriving in Rostock from Copenhagen via Hamburg. I think there is an S-Bahn connection to Warnemünde from Rostock. How frequently does the S-Bahn run and what is the time duration of the trip? Is the S-Bahn stop near the cruise ship terminal? We'll be running a bit close on the time to board the ship.
Every 7 to 8 minutes for a 21 minute journey. Close to the dock. Fastest way from Copenhagen shortcuts Hamburg at Luebeck.
Luebeck appears to be the shortest distance between Copenhagen and Warnemünde but we'd have to change trains and I'd heard that there are some steps to be dealth with at the change-of-train that might be a bit worrisome with luggage. We'll take another look though.
Thanks for the info on the short trip Rostock to Warnemünde.
There are platform elevators at Luebeck station. The German word is "Aufzug" on the symbol chart.
