Rhine Valley end Feb - suggestions

My husband I are planning our first trip to Germany last minute in 2 weeks - we were hoping to spend 2 days and a night in the rhine valley - but am finding that almost everything is closed. Any suggestions of a good hotel - any castles that might be open - boat that might be running or another area close to frankfurt worthwhile? We will be there 2/25-26 (rest of trip is planned, just this one night having a hard time with)
Thank you so much!

I think we are going to stay in Boppard at the Bellevue. Since there really aren't many castles open between St Goar and Cochem (the drive we were going to do) I was thinking of heading to the new suspension bridge near Morsdorf

Boppard is a nice town in winter but still not very busy. If you want a little more in the evenings you can catch a train into Koblenz (15 minutes.)

Marksburg Castle (in Braubach across the river) is open year-round and is the best Rhine Castle tour you can take. Marksburg was never destroyed - "unchanged from medieval times" as the website says:

You can use the Boppard car/passenger ferry (crosses every 30 minutes or so) to a spot south of Filsen, then drive north (or on foot, you can walk into town, and catch a train into Braubach (just 7 minutes.)
