Now that I know my ICE train hasn’t been changed, I will have 2-3 hours between arriving at Terminal 2 & departing on the train to Berlin.
I’m looking to go out for a nice lunch (main meal of the day). Does anybody have a recommendation for a restaurant they really like at either terminal outside security?
I’ll be arriving at my hotel in Berlin around 7pm and won’t want a big meal then which is why I thought I would have it earlier. Thanks.
Go to Paulaner over in the Squaire. This is connected to Terminal 1 and right above the long distance train station, which is where you will catch your ICE. There is an Alex there too, but if you are in Germany, why not have German food?

NO rush to get to Paulaner in the Squaire - website says it doesn't open until 11:00am.
Having stayed at the Squaire many times, I'm not a fan of any of the restaurants including the Paulaner. Honestly, my recommendation would be to pick any of them for a light meal to hold you over and then head down to the Rewe to buy a nice picnic-style spread for your train ride to Berlin.
