Are there age restrictions for car leasing or rental in Germany? My husband is an excellent driver, and we lived in Germany more than six years. Now, though, he is in excellent health and has a good driving record, but he is 80 years old. Will it still be possible for him to rent a car for our three-week trip in Germany?
I am not aware of a maximum age restriction. But to get very sure I would ask the rental car company.
Ensure that you have a valid driving permission (not driver license only):

Contact Auto Europe. Some agencies have upper age limits, they would know.
Germany is not one of the countries on Rick's "age-warning" list. Age of the driver is usually among the first details that you fill in when booking a rental car, either through www.AutoEurope.com or directly with a vendor.
hi hunters- some car rental companies do have age restrictions. I use one of the big ones and have never had a problem and am older than your SO...They will ask you for an age and just click > 25
Have a great trip!!!
