Looking for suggestions for a relaxing spa/resort/ historic village within an hour or two of Munich to spend a relaxing weekend. Thank you in advance for your ideas. Time of year will be November.

Check out Erding. Very close, has a historic center and they advertise to have the world’s largest thermal spa (Therme Erding, https://www.therme-erding.de/en/ ).

We stayed at Bachmaier‘s apartments last June, called the Clubhaus. The apartments are not at the spa itself, but you get access to them with your stay. Our apartment was literally on the edge of the lake water in the town of Tegernsee with gorgeous views. Loved our time there.
