Regensburg Central Station FlixBus to Prague

Hello all ! My one job on a family trip is to get everyone from Regensburg to Prague. I choose the FlixBus. We will be exiting a Viking cruise on Saturday and hopefully walking to the bus station. I’m a little nervous how to find where bus 083 will be upon arrival to the station.

Is it pretty easy ? Signage ? On the FlixBus app is the map pin EXACTLY where the bus will be ? How early should we arrive if the bus leaves at 8:50? Are there screens with the bus number and location ? When I do the look around it looks like a little bus bench with not much info…..

Thanks for any help ! :)

Leaving the station building turn left and walk into Bahnhofstraße towards Parkhaus (car park) Dallmeier. The Flixbus stop is right in front of it (as Sam says, the stop is just generally marked as a ‘long-distance bus’; Flix would have to pay for its own sign, and they can’t be bothered to do that).

But like I said, there is a Flixbus information poster in the glass-enclosed signboard at the stop which you can see by zooming in on Google Streetview.

the bus comes from Munich and won't arrive until just before it is due to leave, maybe 5 minutes in the plan, anywhere between 10 before and 30 after in reality. At the stop shown in the Google Maps link above, don't expect any frills or service at the stop. Use the Triptracker in the App/website to check whether it is on time.

You said it yourself, you had one job....

Viking Cruise to Flixbus will be a culture shock!

There's a train, though. Why would you take a bus when there's a train available? Departs every two hours, no change.

Viking is your friend here. A day or two before you leave tell them where you want to go and what time you want to leave. They will arrange for a taxi to take you there. I would recommend taking the train. We did, from Regensburg to Munich. Very easy.

Also, you really want to take a taxi to the station. The boat docks in town, but the walk, with luggage through the winding cobblestone streets is not as much fun as you think it might be.
