I have not been able to find many recent posts regarding the various taxi apps that are available for Germany. And, those that are listed don't appear highly rated. I will be in Germany in September and October. Would someone in the know please help me out?

If you use Google maps, request directions to where you are going (using the Public Transport option), and underneath the train/bus option, Google will provide options for taxi or transport apps at the bottom (including Uber and Lyft if they're available).
Freenow is usually pretty reliable and is available in Germany.

No problem. I used Google several times for a taxi when I was in Scotland and it works really well.
