Recommendation on Best Berlin Map Sought

My wife and I will be spending a week in Berlin in July. Like RS I believe in having a "hard copy" map and laminated is best. I have checked reviews of maps of Amazon US & UK. First, I am struck by how terse and essentially unhelpful most of the reviews are. There seem to be three candidates: ones made by Marco Polo, Borch, and Streetwise with the first two ranking higher than the usually well reviewed Streetwise maps.

What do I want in a good map: that it be laminated; that it is reasonably easily readable; that it highlight and map the main attractions; that it cover most of the city (obviously I realize there are limits); that it shows clearly the U-Bahn stops on the street map with perhaps a full map of the U-Bahn off to the side; and maybe even one that shows major bus stops and routes.

If I am asking too much, then maybe one can obtain a good Berlin public transit map here or in Berlin itself? If, so where and how? Yes, BTW I have the RS book 2017 or 2018 book.

Recommendations would be much appreciated as soon as possible!!!

The specialist in German city maps is Falk (details of the Berlin map here). It's availabe in any bookstore, e.g. at the train station for appro €8. (standard folding; I'd avoid the more expensive "patent folding" edition - too complicated).

True on Falk maps. When you get to Berlin Hbf, go to the station book store. It's big, check out the tourist map section. The same applies to Bahnhof Zoo, Bahnhof Friedrichstrasse...all have big book store areas. The Tourist Office is located at Berlin Hbf at the Invalidenstrasse exit... a lot of information available there.

If you have a local bookstore, check the map section. You may find one or more of the laminated maps there so you can take a good look before you buy. I made such an excursion myself last year (not looking for a map of Berlin) and was horrified to find that one brand of laminated map was cartoonish in style. I don't remember the brand, but I know Streetwise is fine. I would have been really unhappy if I had ordered a map via the internet and ended up with that wretched product. I want a normal-looking map, not one with pictures of buildings obscuring street names.

And if you don't get a map before you travel, once in Berlin you can take a trip to Ka de We for their maps and books (and check out the foods section!)
