My husband and I are planning to travel from Munich, Germany to Paris, France in September of 2019. We would like to travel by rail. We plan on spending four days in Paris and then onto London, England. Again, we would travel by rail to London. Have others done this and what is your advice? thanks
The links below may help. I have not trained directly from Munich to Paris, but I've taken the journey in pieces in the opposite direction. The TGV trains are nice and efficient. If the timing works out for you, go for it. Just be sure to buy tickets well in advance online (months in advance) to get good prices.
I've also taken the Eurostar from London to Paris and back. I would highly recommend that. Same thing: buy tickets in advance if you can. Train travel in Europe is terrific.

You can book the train Munich to Paris on this site about 90 to 120 days in advance for the lowest price

It looks like there is one direct train a day otherwise you have preferably 1 change of trains in Stuttgart.
I did this route but opted to stay in Strasbourg for 3 nights before Paris
And use the Eurostar from Paris Gare du Nord to London St Pancras it takes 2 hours and 30 minutes no changes

This site can give you an idea of all the services available on each
