Question about the BVG app

We will be traveling to Germany next month and I was curious about the BVG app. Is it possible to purchase and keep tickets on one phone for two people? This would not be the multiple person ticket but two individual tickets (likely 24-hr tickets) being stored on one phone. Or, should both of us download the BVG app and keep track of our own tickets?

Thanks,

I have not tried this with the BVG app, but generally it is possible, and their website FAQ also says explicitly that you can buy for more people, and just notes that the passengers have to travel together. Here is the English version of that FAQ.

Yes, one app is enough but you need to stay together for journey then.

Wonderful. Thanks so much for the information. Although I spent a lot of time reviewing the BVG site, I apparently missed that section. I appreciate everyone's help.

You can totally purchase and store tickets for both of you on one phone, no worries. Just make sure you have the individual tickets, and you're good to go.

One more thing:
If you purchase 4-ride-tickets in the app you will need to activate / validate / time stamp the necessary number of tickets in the ticket section of the app before you start the journey.

Will do, thanks again for all the help.

Note that there are two BVG apps. They both sell tickets, but only one of them showed maps and routes, which came in very handy since Google Maps was not up-to-date on routes impacted by construction (I encountered that in a few cities).
