We are doing a 4 day rhine cruise leaving Strasbourg on a bus to Cochem and boarding the cruise at Cochem. When we get off at Cochem, we are suppose to take the bus back to Strasbourg BUT our next destination is Amsterdam so not sure what is the best way to go to get to Amsterdam in a least crazy and possibly not all day long and inexpensive way. We are unsure if it would be quicker to leave from Cochem or take the 3 hour (we believe) bus back to Strasbourg and head to Amsterdam from there.
If you take a bus back to Strasbourg, then how do you plan to proceed?
Train is very easy with only 2 connections, Koblenz and Cologne in 6 hours. Both stations have comfortable connection times. Both stations have elevators and escalators to make the change of platform, although at Cologne, looks like you its either just the other side of the platform, or the same track. If you buy advance tickets, could be as low as 40 EUR per person. Walk up price is about 92 EUR per person.
That's our question. We aren't sure if we should go back to Strasbourg and from there take a train/drive to Amsterdam or if we do the same in Cochem. Not sure which way would be easiest and fastest???
Easiest and fastest is as I described.

Thank you so much, we will look into that.
From your other post, you have 11. Deutsche Bahn has group rates for 6 or more.
