private guide in Berlin

Can anyone recommend a private tour guide in Berlin for a Nazi and Berlin Wall focused tour? I've had no luck getting a response from one that RS recommended. Many thanks for any suggestions!

I would drop this guide idea since your efforts thus far have met with no success. Get to Berlin Gesundbrunnen station, ask there where the Underground and Flak tower tour info can be gotten.

Jessica, it seems that there a number of tour guides in Berlin who enjoy a good reputation. I actually will be visiting Berlin later this month and have been thinking about hiring a guide for an afternoon, but the expense of a guide is a factor unless there are several in the party.

You may wish to do a search of this forum because there have been threads in the past regarding guides in Berlin.

Just because one guide out of something like 300 tour companies in Berlin doesn't respond to an email, is no reason to drop the ideas of hiring a private guide.

This is why I often recommend Trip Advisor, you get a complete listing of guides, with their websites, and can read up to date reviews of their tours. The good and the bad. There is no way that Rick and his editors have been on every tour on offer in Berlin and thus can't give you accurate advice about which ones are the best.

I checked out the berlin experts website. He says "pay me what you think it is worth," or something like that. If it is a full day tour, what is a reasonable amount? do you know if he arranges pairing small groups, i.e. my wife and I with another couple of two?

Thank you, everyone, for your suggestions! I appreciate it! I know that TripAdvisor is a great way to find guides, but sometimes it's just exhausting to narrow down all of the options especially after having done that with hotels! I found a good one. And now I have these options for next time as well. Thanks again!
