Preferred Tour Group in Munich

Hi,
I have been looking over the posts here and have seen recommended tour groups in other cities. wondering if anyone has recommendations for a tour group to use in Munich. We are interested in a general city tour, Nazi history tour and possibly an Alpine Adventure type tour. Thanks! Beth

Hi there,
Last December I was in Munich for a week and I took two day tours with Radius tours. http://radiustours.com/en/

1) it was the Christmas season, so I went to Nurnberg. Interesting city.
2) I went to Salzburg. I could have gone by myself on the train, but I felt that the price of the tour was almost as if I was purchasing the round trip ticket to Salzburg.

I enjoyed both tours.

They had a few fun tours happening in the city - one was a food tour. The timing just didn't work for me, otherwise I would have gone.

I do know you asked for group tours but if you decide you want private tours for anything, my Rick Steves GAS guide, Carlos Meissner lives in Berlin and does do some private guiding when he isn't working for Rick. One of his specialties is Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial and another is Third Reich.

My recommendation for Munich is Dark History tours. We learned so much about Munich, Dachau and Regensburg from Taff Simon.
The man is simply fantastic and he brings along a bag of items to see and hold that match what ever era history he is talking about.

If Rick doesn't have him in his book, he should.
