We are starting or trip in Berlin for 4 days then to Dresden and to Prague for 3 days. Intend to come back to Germany to see the South area Bavaria etc; but not sure best train to take and to where we should arrive?Are planning to see Regensburg not sure if train is direct from Prague? Also plan to rent a car to see the area best place to rent and return? Have never been to Germany travelling with 3 women. Any help ?

Yes there is a direct train from Prague to Regensburg, however there is also a bus and it's faster and cheaper than the train. I'm sure someone will chime in with the bus details.

There are buses from Prague to Nürnberg or to Munich, but they do not stop in Regensburg. You could go to Nürnberg by bus and then to Regensburg by train. There are also direct trains from Prague to Munich that stop in Regensburg. That would be faster.

If you google 'bus from Prague to Regensburg' it appears that there are two companies that do a direct trip from around $15 - Flixbus and Infobus and I believe that's current information. I have no idea what kind of reviews these bus companies get but I'm sure you can find something on the internet.
