I am doing a Viking cruise with my final destination in Prague where I am planning on spending 4 nights after my Danube river cruise is completed. What are the better hotels to stay and does anyone know which hotels the Viking river cruise use for their travelers. It seems very costly to pay for the hotels through Viking and I just wanted to see if I can save money booking the hotel myself. Thanks for advice.

My wife and I have twice been to Prague after Viking river cruises. We’ve stayed at the Hilton Prague and the Art Nouveau Palace Hotel - both through Viking. The Art Nouveau Palace Hotel is on the edge of the old town and within a short walk to many sights. We were pleased with both hotels.

We too stayed at the Hilton Prague, Pobřežní 311/1, 186 00 Praha 8-Rohanský ostrov. The walk to all the main sights wasn’t to bad, but places like the Dancing Houses was about 2 miles from the hotel while Wenceslas Square was just over a mile. The castle was also about 2 miles from the hotel. On our last night there we ate at the art deco Cafe Imperial. Pricier than many places but a great atmosphere.
