Potsdam in November. ...tours?

I have checked the Potsdam web site for tours but all have ended for the season. We want to see the palace. Any suggestions for our day trip from Berlin to Potsdam? We are staying near thd Zoo station. Do trains leave to Potsdam from there? Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks.

It's simple to visit the palaces on your own. Yes, the Sbahn line to Potsdam goes through the Zoo Bahnhof. Just take the train to the Potsdam Hbf, and there's a well-marked bus from there that takes you to Sanssouci Park. All of the palaces are self-touring with an audioguide.

Hi,

From Bahnhof Zoo you can also take the S-Bahn to Potsdam Hbf. The Tourist Office is located on the top floor if you want to arrange a tour through them, otherwise across the street from train station are tours ready to go. You pay before you get board, no reservations need.

Doing the sights on your own is easy. The bus depot across from the front of Potsdam Hbf has signs indicating which bus to take to which place, eg, Neues Palais, etc.

Great information and now that the DB strike will settle, should be no problem. Thanks for responding and looking forward to another trip to Berlin.
