Portable Phone Charger

I am getting very excited for my trip to Germany on June 7th 2023. We will be traveling from the 7th to the 22nd and staying in various places. I am looking at making sure we are able to keep our phones charged not only where we are staying (with cousins) but during the day when out and about, as well as, during the 9 hr flight. Has any one bought a Portable Phone Charger? If so which one would you recommend? If not tell me why or give feedback.

Thank you for your help,

Patricia

Just get a socket adapter for your existing charger and bring it along.

I have an Anker PowerCore III 10K mAh USB-C, which is great. I had an older Anker power bank but switched to this for the USB-C connection, rather than the micro USB my previous one used. It will charge by iPhone 2-3 times before I need to charge the power bag. It weighs about 8 ounces so is easy to carry along for the day. Anker products are very reliable and I use them a lot.

ETA: I think power banks are invaluable for trips. Last year I used mine during my month long trip to Germany and it really was worth bringing. I take so many photos and use GPS a lot for public transport and driving, and both of those can really drain a battery.

I have this one from anker:

It sticks to the back of my phone so I can still use the phone while it’s charging. I used it for the first time last month in Italy and was glad to have it. Like mardee, I take a lot of photos and use the maps app on my phone. It’s so nice not to worry about a dead battery.

If you do get one, make sure it is compatible with whatever phone you have.

I have two that I like. First one plugs right into the phone, is really small and light. The chord that you see is the usb chord to charge it: Limited-time deal: amelema Small Portable Charger for iPhone, 5000mAh Mini Power Bank with Built-in Cable/Metal Stand, Cute Battery Pack Compatible with iPhone 14/14 Plus/Pro Max/13/12/11/XS/XR/X/8/7/Airpods (White) https://a.co/d/6DF8gxd

This one is both a charging brick and a power bank. So you can plug this in over night and it will re-charge the power bank battery, then charge up to three items. Then you unplug it from the wall and bring it with you to charge your phone during the day. USB Power Banks are pretty similar though, after our recent trip to Europe, I'm going to look for one that supports magnetic charging so that I can rubberband it to my iPhone and not have a dangling cable when the phone begins to run out of juice during the day
