I use the Green-Zones app to find out if and where a environmental sticker is needed.
I’d like to think the rental vehicle, if rented in Germany, would have one.

In this case the Diesel ban is the more serious issue than the environmental zone.
Always be aware to take care of both - if you drive a Diesel.
