A today published news video (link) shows a police operation in Hamburg using a drone to catch red-light drivers. I am convinced that also other German cities and states will follow this example.
So, travelers, one reason more to drive compliant to traffic rules.

The latest thing in Kaiserslautern is the city replacing the fixed site cameras that would measure the oncoming traffic with new laser operated ones that can cover both oncoming and receding traffic, basically covering both sides of the road now. And downtown Stuttgart is just loaded with cameras. I counted 8 in 5 km two weeks ago. Over 20 on the round trip of less than 100 miles.
