We're planning a 2-3 week trip to Paris & Germany (around Frankfurt) for Spring 2017. We've both been to Germany before but it's been decades, so we need help on what to do in the 21st century. We are open to cultural / musical events, museums, tours, and especially anything to do with food!
We're thinking about renting a vacation apartment while there so we can live like locals. I've seen a few options on VRBO but am wondering if anyone could share their experience with that company & offer any suggestions.
We have time to plan so please give us lots of choices! Thanks :)

Any idea how long in each place? Are you looking to stay around Frankfurt or spread out to see more of Germany?
For long term rental, airbnb is also another resource to look at.
