Pension Peters (Berlin) is not available on my dates --- any other hotel suggestions?

Would like to pick your brains as to lodging in Berlin for 3 nights. Reasonably priced (around 100 EU/night), comfortable, clean and close to S/U bahns. We'll use our feet and trains to sightsee; and Potsdam and Sachsenhausen are on our itinerary.

Any recommendation/suggestion is much appreciated! Thank you!

So what are your dates??? The simple solution is go to Booking.com and plug in your requirements and choose one that fits your needs and is rated at least 7.5 in the reviews. Remember that any place in RIck's guide books that is really good wild probably be booked 6 months ahead.

I usually stay in Motel One while in Berlin. They have several locations. Large beds, large showers, reasonable price on the breakfast.

Check out the Motel One Berlin Ku'Damm. It's in the same district as Pension Peters and gets very good reviews. Less that €100/night.

Jay,

Have a look at the Google Map of Pension Peters. There are lots of other hotels in the same vicinity. Check them out on Trip Advisor or have a look at the hotel websites to get some idea on what the facilities are like in each one. I'm sure you'll be able to find another place in the same area that has vacancies. Depending on your budget, you could have a look at Hotel Carmer 16, which is in the same general area (there are others).

I've stayed 2 or 3 times at Hotel-Pension Bregenz , not far from Pension Peters. The owner is very helpful on just about any travel issue you have. It is a small place, 14 rooms, on a quiet street, about a block from the Ku' damm. TripAdvisor ranks it #4 of 189 B&Bs.

Hello, All!

Thank you for your suggestion. MotelOne is booked on one of the dates I need. ;)

Yes, I use Booking.com and other search engines but I wanted to know where travelers to Berlin or destination experts would suggest (based on their experience or knowledge).

I'll keep on searching.

When I went on the Rick Steves tour we stayed at

Hotel Pension Kastanienhof
Kastienalle 65
D10119 Berlin
T. 011 49 (0)30 443050

I thought it was great. I liked the location, the rooms were nice, there was easy transportation, and breakfast was great.

Thanks, Pam. My dates are not available at this hotel.

I sent several inquiries to 3 other pensions. Hopefully, I'll be able to book at least one of them.

We have stayed at the Hampton Inn by Hilton, Uhlandstrasse 188-189, 10623, Berlin, Germany TEL: +49-30-4050270
Free in-room wi-fi and an incredible breakfast, plus steps from the Kurfürstendamm. Would highly recommend!

Thanks sarahewj & Fred...

I will check it out. I was told by one of the pension owners, that there's a soccer tournament/match on the Saturday night we're there; hence rate for that day is ridiculously high! ;)

What would be a good option for 2 adults parents and 3 kids ages 12, 14 and 16 in Berlin? Is it hard to find a place to park our rental car? Many thanks

My daughter and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Berlin City Centre West in May. Less than 10 minute walk to Zoo S-bahn and U-bahn. One block to the 100 bus. Free breakfast and wifi. It was around 80 euros a night.

I don't know about parking the rental car, but for your family if you want to stay in the west there are numerous places on Kurfürstendamm and Kantstrasse of various price ranges. Also on Tauentienstrasse... nice areas.
