Pension/B&B recommendations in Munich

Looking for first-hand experience of travelers that have stayed in pensions/B & B's/or Airbnb as close to central Munich as possible. Preferably within walking distance of the main sites. Arriving April 10-12, and looking for around $50-$60 per night.
TIA

If you are willing to increase your budget a little, you can stay at Pension am Jakobsplatz in the city center. Cost is 70-90 for a single, 80-110 for a double. It's nothing extravagant, but there is a shower in the room and the location is great. Price includes breakfast. I would stay there again.

Hi,

I can help on the numerous small hotels, 2 star, Pensionen, and hostels in the train station area as well the hotels in the luxury class. The cheaper Pensionen can be found on Schillerstrasse, ieg, Pension am Hauptbahnhof. I don't know about Airbnb, I don't use that option in Germany. I stay at a Pension across from the station...no problems, fine with me, costs 45 Euro for a single.

We just stayed at the Pension Lindner for 4 nights and highly recommend it. The location is perfect and you are able to walk most places. Nice rooms, delicious breakfast and Marion is very helpful.

Pension am Jakobsplatz and Pension Lindner are in the same building; Pension Lindner occupies the floors immediately above Pension am Jakobsplatz.

I've stayed at Pension Lindner twice, and I too highly recommend it.

Thanks ...,Jacobsplaz requires 3 night stay. Waiting to hear if anything available at Linden. TripAdvisor, Booking.com show nothing available then, so thought I'd try direct request.
