Has anyone seen the Passion Play in Oberammergau?? We bought tickets for next year and was wondering if we need to make dinner reservations/hotel reservations now too?
Any help/mistakes you made/wish you knew before you went would be GREAT!!

Yes, make hotel reservations now. It is the very first thing to do.
128 years ago, Mark Twain gave this same advice about attending the Bayreuth Festival. I got tickets 4 years ago and followed his advice and was glad I did. Not much has changed since 1891.
And. Make the dinner reservations. Much more civilized to know that you have a table waiting for you on dinner break. It's an unbelievable mass of people set free in a highly congested area. They were well behaved.... it was 20 yrs ago... but there are so many of them and you are hip to hip leaving the amphitheater

Sorry, we lived in nearby Augsburg when we saw the Passion Play and didn't stay in a hotel.
The play is wonderful and amazing.
