Overnight Flight Layover in Frankfurt

On a return flight from Scotland to the United States, we have an overnight layover in Frankfurt.
Arriving at 3:45pm on May 8, 2024 and looking for a private driving tour for about two hours that afternoon with pick-up at airport and drop off at Hotel Schopenhaur Hof in the city center.
Is this request doable? If so, are there any recommendations of tour guides or tour lines to contact? Also, we would need an English speaking tour guide.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Frankfurt is best seen on foot, not in a car or on a bus. Places like the medieval churches, the new Alt Stadt, the Kleinmarkthalle, etc. The most popular sites are all within a short walking distance from your hotel, which is a lovely, new hotel.
If you are arriving on 8 May, there is a great fest down in front of the Alte Oper. Delicious food and wines from the Rheingau.

My suggestion is to contact Frankfurt on Foot about a private walking tour.

They offer an excellent tour. Most of the main sights are within walking distance of each other.

It's very easy to take the train from Frankfurt Airport into the city. (Likely faster as well, given your arrival time.) When we scheduled our private walking tour with Frankfurt on Foot the guide met us in our hotel lobby. She helped us get our bearings (only there for a layover, like you); we learned so much about history and ended the tour at the wine festival that happened to be going on at that time. I see you will have a similar opportunity-don't miss it!

Missing is your departure time. How early do you need to be at the airport for your trip home?
Have you considered that your trip from the hotel to the airport in the 9th will take you at least 1/2 hour including about a 10 minute walk to the train? If you take a cab, it will take you about 20 minutes, traffic not a consideration.
I'm sure that that Schopenhaur Hof is a wonderful overnight accommodation, but I unless I were in Frankfurt for a longer stay I would

book a room at or near the airport. Again, the time of your departure should be considered when you make this choice.
You could drop your bags at your airport hotel and meet the guide there or somewhere in the city ( bahnhof?).
