Oktoberfest Beer Tent tickets via Private Tours or Resell Sites

We, party of 4, are going to be in Munich for all of 1 day on Sunday, October 2nd, this year and want to reserve beer tent seats at a table. (Rolling laughter here. :-) ) Obviously, we are so way beyond "late" for this but the trip came together at the last minute. Are there alternative ways to get a beer tent seat that are valid? I see some tickets for sale on StubHub but read somewhere that 3rd party resale tickets would not be honored. Is StubHub in this category? Is there a different site where folks resell tickets? Or are there tours we can take that would include a seat (already checked viator and no accommodations for that day). Does anyone know of other companies to checK?

Since this is a once in a lifetime thing for us, we don't mind paying more for the opportunity but don't want to pay for "false tickets" that will be turned away.

Read the verbiage from the official site and see if you can get a reservation now. Entry is free. You are going on the penultimate day. So get there early and you won't have to buy from someone who makes reservations just so they can resell them to the unsuspecting.

If you could wait until Monday it would be better, plus you will be there on the last day.

Do a search, there was a previous thread a few weeks back where someone was asking about a tour company that did just what you are asking.

Be warned though, the final weekend and final day (Monday, October 3rd) are some of the busiest days.

Can't do Monday...flying out early AM.

And I'm seriously ok with paying a premium if it makes my life easier. The other post from a few weeks ago just said "if you go on a weekday, you'll be fine". Since we can't go on a weekday, still wondering about tour/resale alternatives.

Check the Oktoberfest forums on Toytown for people selling reservations locally. I've used Whitney Events there before for getting seats but be warned to have to sign a contract and pay up once she gets you seats (she gets a lot of requests from people who aren't serious so this helps her weed out the flakes).

Edit: call up independent travel agents who do Oktoberfest tours for the dates you are there. Since they book full tables they typically have a half table or more left over that they might sell you for a mark up.
