Oberammergau is full of restaurants! 5000 people have to go for dinner during the play break.
Walking past them this past year, most of them looked like they had really good food. We had one German meal and one Mexican. I think most of the hotels and Gasthauses have restaurants too. I doubt you will find a bad one there in the town center.

The restaurants in Oberammergau, like most restaurants in Germany, will have their menu posted outside. Just find one that has something you would like (it helps to understand some German so you can read the menu). The first night I was in Oberammergau, that's what I did. I think I ate at Hotel Alte Post, and I liked it, but I think you will find a lot of nice restaurants in Oberammergau.

Most of the restaurants in Oberammergau have English translations for their menus. This is a huge tourist town. You do not need to know German.
Just in case they don't, use Google translate on your phone, the camera feature. Hold it up to the menu and Viola! instant translation.
