We plan to spend 2 days in the area, one of which we will attend the Passion Play.ie Day 1 to arrive at hotel, Day 2 to attend the Play
I'm trying to decide if it's worthwhile to go with Half Board at the hotel, or whether we will have lots of restaurants choices to get dinner. If the town is too congested etc with tours operating ,will we have difficulty if we haven't made pre- dinner plans.

During the Passion Play season most restaurants will have very high demand for lunch and dinner. (O'gau is a very small town). Package tours that include meals will fill a lot of tables. Reservations, made well in advance will be necessary if you opt to make your own meal plans.

Attending a Passion Play for just the day itself is like riding just the last hill on a rollercoaster or attending only the "I do" recitation of a wedding celebration, or the last 15 minutes of the Tour de France season. Do you only watch the last three outs of baseball games?

Yes, get the half board. When the play releases for meal break it's an unbelievable wave of humanity flowing down the streets
