We'll be in Munich June 16 (Saturday) and like to visit Nymphemburg & Residenz. Do we need to make reservations and if so, how (I couldn't find a way to do it). Can I buy tickets for just the Nymphemburg palace and Amalieburg; I don't care about the other 3 buildings. Thanks, Jay
We bought ours when we got to the Nymphemburg and the Residenz, but I was there in January.
Information on opening hours and adimssion here:
Residenz:

(please read the section about temporary closings)
Nymphenburg:

No pre-booking necessary, I don't think it's even possible (after all, that's not Neuschwanstein)
It looks like you can buy a ticket for just the Nymphenburg palace fpr 6€, for the four park buildings without the palace, 4,50€, or a combination ticket for the palace and the four park buildings for 9€ (in summer). If you buy the combination ticket, they won't make you go to the other three buildings.
