Nurnberg-Erlangen round trip

I am getting into the Nurnberg at 11:40 AM on August 23rd on the bus from Prague, and from there I would like to get to Erlangen as quickly as possible. Does the bus also make a stop at the Nurnberg train station, or will I need to walk? Will I have any chance of getting the train departing for Erlangen at 11:49, especially when ideally I would like to store my luggage in a locker at the Nurnberg station? Are there any means of getting to the area nearest the Erlangen Botanical Garden other than by train? Will I be buying my ticket from a machine at the Nurnberg station, and if so, what is the round trip fare?

Thanks.

I have never used this bus, but the train planner of the Deutsche Bahn gives the bus station (ZOB) as their stop in Nürnberg. It should be a 5-minute walk to the railway station (see this map).
I shouldn't worry too much about getting the train or looking for an alternative connection: they run several times per hour.

It's a 250 meters walk from the bus terminal (Nürnberg ZOB) to the Hbf. Even if you miss the train mentioned (9 min is very tight considering that you need to stow your luggage und to buy a ticket) the next train is coming soon. Buy a VGN Ticket Preisstufe 4 (€4.76 one way) from any DB or VGN automat in the station (not available at the DB ticket office!). To save time, you could buy your ticket via the DB or VGN app. From the Erlangen station it's a 10 minutes walk (at the most) to the Botanischer Garten. After leaving the station go straight ahead to the Hugenottenplatz (200m), turn left into the Hauptstrasse to the Residence and take the entrance to the Schlossgarten to the left of it. Keep left and after bypassing the Orangerie you will find the entrance to the Botanischer Garten.
