Nuremberg or not

Our river cruise will disembark in Nuremberg. Should we spent the night there or go immediately to Prague giving us more time in Prague?

I spent a few hours in Nuremberg on my way to Prague. I found it very interesting and enjoyable and wish that I had spent an entire day to spend there, or even an overnight visit.

How shall anybody give advice without any criteria or knowing your interests?

what sort of things would you like to see in Nuremberg? What sort of things would you like to see in Prague?

Do you have enough time in Prague to see what you want to see or do you need another part day?

How much time will the things you want to see in Nuremberg take? Or do you not care at all for Nuremberg and want to leave immediately and spend all your time in Prague?

The only person who can answer that is you.

We may all have our favourites, but it is your trip not ours.

We had previously been to Nurnberg so when our river cruise ended we went straight to Prague. Had we not been there before an extra day would have been nice. If you’re interested in all the WWII aspects of the city, then maybe two additional days would be adequate.

The old town in Nuremberg is attractive but not outstanding. Major attractions are the Germanic Museum (art and history), the German National Railway Museum, the old Nazi rally grounds, and the Nuremberg Trials exhibition.

Thank you all. Was looking for other travelers’ opinions. Granted I got both sides, but now I can decide for myself whether to skip Nuremberg or not.

I did a side trip to Nuremberg in December from Munich. I loved it. Did not even have time to see the Rally Grounds etc. I would definitely go back. It is a beautiful city with many things to see. We did a free 2 hour walking tour where you pay what you want. I highly recommend it. Definitely spend a few days there.
